Type:

full-time Our client, a global industrial technology manufacturer serving specialized automation and process-control applications, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its growing U.S. team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role focused on application engineering, technical support, and problem solving. The Applications Engineer will work directly with customers and manufacturer representatives across North America to understand applications, recommend products, prepare technical quotations, troubleshoot systems, and support projects from initial inquiry through implementation. The company operates with a small, collaborative team, giving this person exposure to a variety of technical and customer-facing responsibilities rather than being limited to one narrow engineering function. There is also significant long-term growth potential. Key Responsibilities Review customer applications and specifications to recommend appropriate technical solutions Provide application and technical support to customers, manufacturer representatives, and distributors Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical system issues Assist customers with product selection, system implementation, and commissioning Prepare technical quotations based on customer applications and requirements Perform light hands-on diagnostics, testing, and repair of returned equipment Serve as a technical resource for manufacturer representatives across North America Develop long-term relationships with customers and channel partners Assist with additional technical and operational responsibilities as needed within a small-team environment Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent hands-on technical experience Open to new graduates and early-career engineers; approximately 1-3 years of experience is ideal Strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of electrical systems Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system layouts Comfortable communicating directly with customers and explaining technical concepts Hands-on problem solver who enjoys working across a variety of technical responsibilities Comfortable working within a small organization where responsibilities can evolve based on business needs Compensation & Benefits Base salary: up to $80,000
