Job Description The Oracle Cloud CX Functional Architect is Badger's domain authority for the Oracle CX application suite, owning solution design, configuration, business partnership, and continuous improvement end to end. This is a senior individual contributor role embedded in the Business Applications team, partnering directly with Sales and Operations organizations. The role exists to ensure that Oracle Cloud CX
  • spanning Sales, CPQ, Service, and Sales Performance Management
  • operates as a continuously improving platform aligned to Badger's business needs, rather than a system maintained reactively.
The Functional Architect combines deep Oracle expertise with a product ownership mindset, serving as the primary functional and solution contact for their business partners. The compensation for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
Builds and maintains a strong working relationship with Sales and Operations process owners and key users, serving as their primary functional and solution contact. Translates business requirements into functional specifications deliverable through configuration, workflow changes, or integrations while minimizing customization. Provides domain input into IT planning cycles, backlog reviews, and prioritization. Maintains a prioritized enhancement backlog for the CX domain, working with business stakeholders to sequence value and align with IT delivery capacity. Approves and reviews material configuration changes to CX modules
  • CPQ pricing and product rules, Sales/Service configuration and custom objects, approval workflows, and integration mappings. Manages the Oracle quarterly update cycle for the CX domain: review release notes, assess business impact, coordinate regression testing, and ensure clean adoption. Builds and maintains Fusion CX extensions in Sales and Service
  • custom objects, fields, and layouts via Application Composer
  • favoring configured, upgrade-safe extensibility over custom code.
What You'll Need for
Success:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted. 7+ years Oracle Cloud CX with deep configuration expertise in Sales, Service, and CPQ.
Sales and service process knowledge:
lead-to-opportunity, CPQ, field dispatch, case management, incentive compensation. Oracle Cloud CX certification preferred (Sales or CPQ). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to bridge business and IT. Senior individual contributor mindset with high ownership orientation in a lean team environment.
