$41.00

•$53.00/hr (Includes +$1.00/hr shift differential)

Role Overview The MES Software Engineer serves as a shop-floor subject matter expert for manufacturing applications and machine integrations. This role plays a critical part in implementing production line systems, building real-time data visualization platforms, and enhancing core MES/Operations/Quality modules. Key Responsibilities Develop, configure, and maintain Ignition by Inductive Automation applications, including Perspective, Vision, and Designer modules. Design and implement Ignition integrations connecting PLCs, MES, ERP, SCADA, and SQL Server databases to support real-time monitoring and reporting. Configure Ignition tag structures, alarms, notifications, historian data collection, and user security per company standards. Troubleshoot and optimize Ignition gateway performance, communications, and manufacturing system interfaces. Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure shop-floor accuracy and reliability. Collaborate within self-managed, cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues promptly.

Minimum of 5 years in MES, SCADA, industrial automation, or manufacturing software development.

Ignition Expertise:

Strong preferred experience developing and supporting Ignition applications in a live manufacturing environment.

Work Environment Capabilities:
