Manages vendor relationships. Provides technical guidance pertaining to the capabilities, limitations and requirements of applications. Designs IT solutions using existing tools and technologies. Assesses compatibility and integration of products and services proposed as standards, in order to ensure integration across interdependent technologies. Responsibilities Helps establish and implement cost effective, results based, and professionally managed programs and innovative initiatives for the IT applications area, under direct supervision. Coordinates investigation of issues with applications systems operation, troubleshooting of errors, research on corrective approaches, and implementation of changes as needed to maintain systems in optimum working order. Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities. Understands and applies the organization's mission, vision, and core values of improving health and promoting well-being in day-to-day interactions with team. Assists in defining levels of system security, monitors access, coordinates setups and maintains the integrity of system operations. Monitors operations, performs technical testing, troubleshooting, analysis, installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field Required Experience 4-6 years within hospital or health information systems environment.
