The Group's efforts include developing software architectures and systems, bioinformatics tools, and AI algorithms to further the nation's efforts in biomedical, health, chemical and biological defense, biosecurity, public and global health and warfighter performance. Job Description TheBioanalyticsSystems and Technologies Group is in search of an innovative and highly motivated software engineer to support several projects within our group. Project tasksincludedevelopment of software to support harmonization of medical and health data, web-based app development,modeling and simulation,and data streaming applications. Requirements Master's degree in Computer Scienceor related discipline. In lieu of a master's degree, a bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience Software Design and Development Life-cycle knowledge Strongproficiencyin Python and related frameworks Proficiencywith relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL Experience with training, deploying, and/or evaluatingAI / ML or data science models

Experience with data engineering,defining

ETL/ ELT

processes,andusing workfloworchestrators Experience using version control software, such as git, in a team setting Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skillsand ability to work collaboratively with ateam Experience workingwithbuilding andmaintainingapplications in security-sensitive, regulated enterprise settings Desired Requirements ExperiencewithBig Data cloud platforms like Databricksa plus Experience with biological and medical data a plus Experience withdataharmonizationandmedicaldata standardslike OMOP,FHIR, and HL7 a plus

Experience with using AWS cloud services for AI and Data Engineering a plus Experiencebuilding softwareintegrations withAI / ML/ LLMmodelsand libraries a plus Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)usingvarioussourcedocument formats a plus

Recent Graduate Hiring Range:

$116,400 - $140,000

Experienced Hiring Range:

$116,400 - $182,200
