DEVOPS ENGINEER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a DevOps Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. You will play a crucial role in engineering a modernization effort to converge our customer's authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

The DevOps Engineer must have:
    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
      Experience:
      15+ years of related experience
      • Technical skills: A strong DevOps background will be needed to deploy applications, install and configure complex software, manage network servers and technology tools, monitor and maintain the system for required levels of performance and trouble shoot issues and outages.
      • Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
      • US citizenship required
      • Role requirements: Candidates must have experience with: Linux AWS, MASH, and VMs Docker Swarm Deployments of distributed web applications (e.
      g. GitLab CI/CD) Terraform scripting and VM provisioning Ansible scripting and development Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology Git Desired experience includes: Python scripting and development NiFi maintenance and configuration Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs) HAProxy MongoDB Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
