DIA-NMEC

(National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role supports the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, a long-term, mission-critical program focused on building, modernizing, deploying, and maintaining a cutting-edge technology environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, Kubernetes, Linux, containerized applications, and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with software developers, systems engineers, architects, security professionals, integrators, and system administrators to build and maintain reliable, scalable production environments. The majority of the work is performed on-site at the customer location in Bethesda, MD, with occasional opportunities for remote work. What You'll Do Design, deploy, configure, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure and cloud environments Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain production big-data and containerized platforms using Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation, with a focus on GitLab and AWS Support scalable, highly available, and redundant infrastructure across cloud, physical, and virtual environments Deploy and manage containerized microservices within AWS and Kubernetes environments Use Helm/Helmfile to configure and manage Kubernetes deployments Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using DevOps tools and scripting Partner with Systems Engineers and Architects to design and implement solutions for new capabilities Troubleshoot production issues and participate in bug triage, root-cause analysis, and system optimization Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, architecture models, and deployment procedures Participate in Agile release planning, daily scrums, design sessions, and other cross-functional engineering activities Help drive the adoption of DevOps and cloud engineering best practices across engineering teams Required Qualifications Significant hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS cloud infrastructure Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments Experience designing, deploying, or supporting AWS infrastructure and services in production environments Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab Experience supporting production DevOps environments and enterprise-scale systems Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams Preferred / Bonus Qualifications Experience operating AWS and enterprise systems at scale AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, or AWS SysOps Administrator Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, and RDS Knowledge of Agile methodologies Development or scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, Java, SALT, or similar technologies Experience supporting enterprise or production systems Experience with automated configuration management and deployment tools Familiarity With Kafka or other messaging systems such as AMQP and JMS Kubernetes monitoring tools including Prometheus and Grafana GPU-based Kubernetes environments SALT for deployment automation Helm / Helmfile Nexus AWS-native monitoring, logging, security, and automation capabilities group id: 10290999 Apply now
