Senior Applications Developer/EngineerLocation:
Germantown, MDDescription:
On-site in either Germantown, MD or Lemont, IL or Oak Ridge, TN Our client seeks a Senior Applications Developer/Engineer to lead Atlassian-centric development initiatives. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level applications using Atlassian tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and formulation
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- Proven experience with Atlassian development tools and frameworks
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent programming languages
- Experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
