Overview:

SimVentions is 100% employee-owned and proudly ranked among Virginia's Best Places to Work year after year! We are looking for a skilled C+ Software Developer to provide support to aircraft software maintenance efforts. This role is located at

NAVAIR-PAX

River in St. Mary's County, MD and requires on-site presence 5 days/week.

Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

Ability to write, review, and test C+ code

Experience working with Linux Operating Systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Experience with Oracle databases

Experience with Visual Studio

Responsibilities:

Provide software development expertise as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Review data, reports, studies, designs, design documentation, tests, or equipment to determine conformance with contract technical requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

Familiarity with Ada programming language

Experience with DOORS and/or Cameo

Experience using and troubleshooting modeling and simulation (M&S) systems/programs

Experience with hardware integration and SW/HW interfaces

Knowledge of military avionics

Education:

BS in engineering or computer science

Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000.00

  • $130,000.

00 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
