Job Description

Description We are seeking an experienced Software Defined Vehicle System Architect to lead the architecture and system design of next generation automotive platforms. This role is critical in shaping scalable, secure, and high performance vehicle software architectures by bridging customer requirements, system design, and cross functional execution. Key Responsibilities
  • Translate customer and stakeholder requirements into optimized system level architectural solutions
  • Define high level system architecture for SDV platforms with focus on safety, security, privacy, compliance, scalability, and performance
  • Design signal oriented and service oriented system interfaces, define APIs using standard IDLs, and maintain clear documentation
  • Create and maintain system models using SysML/UML tools
  • Lead and own DFMEA activities, supporting feature validation and root cause analysis
  • Drive system integration across software and hardware teams
  • Ensure robust verification and validation through structured testing strategies
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting best practices in system and software design
  • Champion automation and quality engineering across the SDLC using
TDD, BDD
(Gherkin), Google Test, TestRail, and CI practices Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years in automotive software architecture, system design, and integration
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience in automotive programs
  • Strong embedded software experience with C / C++ / Python
  • Hands on experience with AUTOSAR, Android Automotive, domain controllers, and SDV architectures
  • Expertise in automotive networks: CAN, LIN, Ethernet
  • Knowledge of communication protocols: MQTT, g
RPC, SOME/IP
  • Experience with
ASPICE, ISO
26262, and SAE standards
  • Strong Agile delivery experience (Scrum / SAFe)
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands on embedded system development and debugging experience
  • Exposure to functional safety and cybersecurity
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with service oriented and microservices architectures Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
