Job Title:
Senior Full Stack Software Engineer •Candidates must be eligible for W-2 employment and authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship•
Onsite Collaboration Requirements:
2-3 weeks onsite in Jackson required at the start of employment Ongoing onsite presence of 1-2 weeks per month thereafter Meeting days are Tuesday through Thursday when onsite
Duties:
Agile & Clean‑Code Leadership — Lead Agile practices and champion clean‑coding standards across the product lifecycle, mentoring junior and mid‑level engineers. Technical Direction — Drive architectural and technical strategy, ensuring the team understands and implements core engineering concepts. Architectural Decision‑Making — Make significant system‑level decisions that support performance, scalability, security, and maintainability. Business Context Alignment — Translate business objectives into technical solutions that deliver measurable value. End‑to‑End Solution Ownership — Maintain system reliability, resolve production issues, and contribute directly to product development velocity. Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with designers, product managers, and other engineers in an Agile environment. ADMS Product Suite Alignment — Ensure all software engineering work aligns with the Emerson / OSI / AspenTech ADMS product suite, including architectural consistency, integration patterns, and product‑specific technical standards. Additional Responsibilities — Perform other duties as assigned to support product and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Required). Coaching & Mentorship — Ability to teach, guide, and elevate the technical capabilities of engineering teams. Complex Decision‑Making — Skilled in evaluating trade‑offs and influencing both technical and business stakeholders. Full‑Stack Architecture — Mastery of system design, architecture, and multiple programming languages and toolsets. Analytical Problem‑Solving — Strong ability to assess challenges and refine engineering approaches to improve outcomes. Team Collaboration — Promotes a culture of learning, craftsmanship, and technical excellence. Code Review Craftsmanship — Provides constructive critique grounded in engineering principles and uses conflict as a learning opportunity. Technical Communication — Excellent written and verbal communication for clear technical discussions and stakeholder alignment. ADMS Domain Expertise — Understanding of ADMS concepts, utility operational workflows, and the Emerson/OSI/AspenTech ecosystem. Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation): The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $80.36/hour - $107.14/hour W-2.
