This role offers hands-on problem-solving experience and a direct career path toward Technical Product Engineer (PE) or Technical Product Manager (TPM) . What You Will Do Serve as the primary bilingual technical interface (Japanese/English) for Japanese Tier-1 automotive clients and internal R D. Translate customer pain points and feature requests into structured technical requirements, specifications, and scope trade-offs. Triage, reproduce, and investigate issues across hardware, mechanical, firmware, or system requirement interfaces. Prepare Device Under Test (DUT) hardware, configure bench demonstration rigs, and support prototype testing for client reviews. Travel internationally (primarily to Japan, 10%-20%) to visit plants, review assembly lines, and align on engineering changes. Author bilingual technical reports, 8D root-cause summaries, requirement traceability matrices, and customer integration manuals. What You Bring to the Team Professional working proficiency in both Japanese (JLPT N2/N1 equivalent) and English for client technical meetings and documentation. Bachelor's degree in Engineering ( EE, ME, CE, CS ) or related fields ( Industrial Engineering, MIS, Technology Management, Systems Engineering ). Demonstrated skill in at least one focus area: Technical Requirements Management (Jira/Confluence/spec definition), Circuit Design/EE, 3D CAD/ME, or Embedded

C/C++/SW.

Strong diagnostic instincts to break down complex issues across physical parts, circuits, or functional logic. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 10%-20%). Familiarity with automotive bus protocols (CAN/LIN/Ethernet) or root-cause methodologies (8D/5-Why) is a plus. Prior experience with Japanese business culture or multicultural engineering teams is preferred.
