Applications Engineer

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Applications Engineer position include: Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field required; Bachelor's degree preferred, with equivalent industry experience considered. Experience in precision machining or manufacturing environments, with familiarity in

ISO 13485

quality systems and regulated manufacturing settings. Advanced blueprint reading skills including GD&T interpretation, along with knowledge of medical device materials and secondary processes such as heat treatment, passivation, electropolishing, coatings, and stress relieving. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, outside services, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and CAD or SolidWorks experience being beneficial. Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to determine manufacturing requirements and support accurate costing and process planning. Prepare accurate and timely quotations for materials, labor, manufacturing processes, and outside services while evaluating manufacturability and identifying risks. Support Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Quality teams by coordinating awarded quotations into order entry, production planning, and technical discussions. Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding technical questions, quotation follow-up, manufacturing capabilities, and related project support while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Salary :

$40 - $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
