1-year Contract-to-Hire Location Preferred locations: Minneapolis, MN Charlotte, NC (CIC or Brevard) Des Moines, IA San Antonio, TX Chandler, AZ (for an ideal candidate) About the Role We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the Information Security IAM Metrics & Reporting team. This role is focused on building, maintaining, decommissioning, and modernizing reporting solutions, with a primary emphasis on migrating approximately 400 reports from Tableau to Power BI . You will play a critical role in day-to-day reporting operations, issue resolution, and responding to urgent leadership data requests. This position contributes to broader data transformation and modernization efforts , supporting a data-driven and highly automated cybersecurity organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and decommission Power BI reports and dashboards. Lead and execute migration of reporting assets from Tableau to Power BI (including Power BI Fabric). Support metric and data reporting from multiple data sources. Troubleshoot and resolve reporting and data quality issues. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights as priorities evolve. Respond quickly to time-sensitive leadership requests for data and reporting. Contribute to large-scale planning and moderately complex software engineering initiatives aligned with the cyber data strategy. Support continuous improvement in reporting automation and standardization. Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent experience through work, education, training, or military service). 3-4 years of experience in reporting, analytics, or data engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with Power BI , including report development and maintenance. Experience with Power BI Fabric . Proven experience migrating reports from Tableau to Power BI . Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL preferred). Experience working with data from multiple enterprise systems. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Preferred Qualifications Python for automation or data processing. Experience with Tableau report development. Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub). Experience with workflow, documentation, and agile tools (JIRA, Confluence). Experience using Alteryx.
