The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Digital Analytics and System Health (DASH) team supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization in Hazelwood, MO. The DASH team focuses on delivering critical flight data, fault detection, and maintenance action insights to support faster, data-driven decisions on fleet health. This role will contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of web-based applications, databases, and data processing tools primarily supporting the F/A-18 platform and other emerging programs. As a member of the DASH software team, you will be involved in the full stack software development, collaborating with cross-functional teams and users to deliver impactful solutions that improve operational efficiency and fleet sustainment. This position offers the opportunity to apply strong system thinking, coordinate complex work, and demonstrate leadership skills in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable software architectures, integrating advanced analytics, secure CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services to support fleet health monitoring Provide innovative solutions to complex technical challenges, particularly in decomposing monolithic systems into modular microservices and APIs, ensuring maintainability and scalability Guide and mentor engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices throughout the software development lifecycle Act as the principal technical liaison with senior external stakeholders, representing Boeing's expertise and ensuring alignment with contractual and strategic program objectives Develop, maintain, and optimize data processing pipelines and database structures to support timely, accurate flight and maintenance data analytics Lead the planning and execution of major program milestones, balancing short-term delivery requirements with long-term architectural improvements Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, communicating impact and recommendations to management and stakeholders with a long-term perspective Contribute to the evolution of software engineering standards, driving innovation and incorporation of emerging technologies and practices Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors Degree Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship 10+ years of experience working with software development life cycle and architecture frameworks 9+ years of experience in full stack software development 2+ years of experience with cloud-platform technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience. Experience working in an agile development environment 9+ years of experience with Vue.js/Angular and C# Excellent communication and collaboration skills Proven leadership or project coordination experience Experience supporting mission-critical or operational software systems Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or related industries is a plus
