IMPACT DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Associate AI Applications Developer with strong coding ability to design, build, and maintain AI-driven solutions. If you geek out about artificial intelligence and love turning ideas into working software, we want to meet you! The ideal candidate can independently write, debug, test, and explain code, including code developed with AI assistance. This teammate will collaborate with leadership, vendors, contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable applications and automations that solve business problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, deploy, and maintain AI applications, internal tools, and business automations. Write, debug, and test Python and JavaScript or TypeScript code; independently review and improve AI-generated code. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, define requirements, and translate business needs into software. Integrate AI models with business systems through APIs, databases, and secure connections. Build data pipelines for collection, cleaning, transformation, and document retrieval. Partner with vendors, contractors, and consultants to deliver reliable AI solutions. Use Git, code reviews, documentation, and repeatable deployment practices. Test and optimize software for output quality, performance, scalability, and reliability. Follow responsible AI practices, data privacy, access controls, and security standards. Steward AI spend within the provided annual budget. Compare AI platforms against project requirements and stay current with advances in AI and software development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Students currently enrolled in a degree program with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in software development, AI development, or related roles. Proven ability to build and deploy working applications, supported by projects or code samples. Hands-on use of AI coding tools with the ability to independently review, debug, and improve generated code.

Technical Skills:

Strong Python skills and working proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript Experience with REST APIs, JSON, SQL, databases, and business system integrations. Practical experience with AI APIs, tool calling, structured outputs, and document retrieval. Working knowledge of Git, automated testing, deployment (AWS/GCP), logging, and secure coding.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to code quality. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions clearly. Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and deliver working solutions. Passion for AI and a natural curiosity to explore its practical applications.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to be in a stationary position for 75% or more of the day Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer The teammate may need to lift up to 20 pounds.

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
