Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and automation solutions that drive efficiency and reliability across our IT environment. Your expertise will enable seamless deployment of services, optimize cloud architecture, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through automation and best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud platforms and DevOps methodologies in a fast-paced, collaborative setting dedicated to technological excellence. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, OpenStack, Rackspace, and Citrix. Automate deployment processes through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and PowerShell scripts to ensure rapid and reliable application releases. Manage IT infrastructure components including virtualization technologies such as VMware, Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration, and virtualization platforms to support scalable distributed systems. Implement and oversee cloud management strategies for public cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS), ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless integration between applications and cloud services. Strengthen system security through identity and access management (IAM) solutions, system hardening techniques, VPN configurations, and secure network architecture including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). Collaborate with development teams using Agile methodologies to streamline the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), supporting continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git. Monitor system performance metrics; troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure or virtualization environments; implement scalability improvements for high availability. Skills Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, OpenStack, Rackspace, or Citrix. Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, and SaaS/PaaS models. Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure using virtualization technologies like VMware; containerization with Docker; orchestration with Kubernetes. Skilled in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet; CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools. Knowledge of cloud security best practices including IAM solutions; system hardening; VPN setup; network security protocols. Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; NoSQL options like MongoDB;
