Job Description

Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) ArchitectPosition Overview Senior IAM Architect to lead the design and execution of our enterprise Identity and Access Management strategy. This role will focus on integrating a large and diverse application ecosystem into SailPoint as the centralized IAM platform, while supporting SOX compliance and introducing advanced identity capabilities. This is a hands-on individual contributor role intended for a true architect—someone who designs, builds, and solves complex IAM problems end to end. Key Initiatives & Workstreams IAM Application Integration & Roadmap Burlington has over 300 business applications across multiple domains that must be integrated into SailPoint. Lead the creation of a multi-year integration roadmap and accompanying runbooks. Deliver 3-5 system integrations per year, recognizing that some integrations will require extended timelines. SOX Compliance Enablement Identify in-scope applications for SOX compliance that are not yet integrated with SailPoint. Define and execute a standardized IAM approach using SailPoint to support compliance requirements. Advanced IAM Capabilities Evaluate and implement Privileged Identity Management (PIM) solutions. Assess and introduce identity verification capabilities. These initiatives are expected to be multi-year efforts. Technology Environment SailPoint (required, core IAM platform) Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Cloud identities across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, including governance and lifecycle nuances Retail systems such as WMS and POS (experience strongly preferred) A Day in the Life Lead IAM architecture design and implementation for enterprise initiatives (20%) Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into solutions (20%) Produce detailed architectural designs, patterns, and standards (20%) Mentor junior architects and contribute to architectural best practices (20%) Drive continuous improvement across IAM processes and outcomes (20%) What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in architecture or IAM-related roles Proven experience implementing and managing SailPoint from a development/architecture perspective Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Deep understanding of IAM concepts including lifecycle management, access governance, and system integration Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and solution design skills Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing or solving Privileged Identity Management challenges Retail industry experience, particularly with WMS and POS systems Familiarity with complex cloud identity environments (Azure and GCP) Consultant mindset: outcome-driven, transactional, and pragmatic
