A BAE Systems Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. These systems might include, but are not limited to, processing intensive analytics, algorithm development, real-time systems, Electronic Warfare Systems, and application and systems development and monitoring. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 4+ years work experience. Software development experience using languages such as C++, C#, C, Python, Ruby, Perl, JavaScript. Has experience with Agile Development Has experience developing and executing test procedures for software components. Has experience developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers. Has experience with source code control systems, such as Git. Has experience with standard tools ie JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket Currently has a full active Secret clearance (or higher) Please note that pursuant to government contracts, these positions require US citizenship status. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of these particular roles, work will be performed full-time on site. $105827 - $179906 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
