Job Description

Position Overview Erie and Niagara is seeking a full-time Java Developer for our IT Department. This is a great opportunity to join an established WNY company. This position is responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, development, implementation, maintenance and documentation of the software applications and components that support the business needs of the company. Responsibilities :
Maintain and develop new software applications Develop an understanding of the business Assist in executing reoccurring tasks Monitor phone and e-mail based help desk Create technical specifications and test plans Create new and extend existing operational documentation Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems Assist in companywide system upgrades as needed Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to IntelliJ, Java, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Investigate and develop skills in new technologies Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or minimum five years' experience Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Ability to set and meet deadlines as necessary Must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills Proven experience in Object Oriented analysis, design and programming Proficient in IntelliJ, Java, Visual Studio, Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET, HTML, XML, Web Services, CSS and JavaScript Proven experience with Relational Databases (Microsoft SQL Server) Must have demonstrated ability to quickly master new technologies. Pay range for this position is $75,000-$90,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law. Erie and Niagara is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
