BASIC FUNCTION
Crane Pumps & Systems is seeking a versatile Application Developer responsible for the architecture, development, and ongoing support of the Oracle CPQ platform and enterprise .NET web applications. This role blends expertise in CPQ (BigMachines), BML/BMQL, and commerce flows with strong skills in
C/.NET, ASP.NET
MVC/Web
API, ASP.NET
Core / modern .NET (6-8), SQL Server, and SSIS. The developer will collaborate across departments to deliver scalable solutions supporting quoting, configuration, pricing, order management, and other key business operations
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Architect, enhance, and support Oracle CPQ including commerce flows, pricing logic, approvals, and document generation. Maintain CPQ components such as configurators, data tables, file manager items, and security roles. Modernize and improve legacy JavaScript customizations. Develop and support .NET and ASP.NET Core web applications using OOP principles, design patterns, and unit testing. Provide break-fix support and deliver maintainable enhancements to existing systems. Configure and manage IIS and application hosting on Windows Server. Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, schemas, and queries. Build and maintain SSIS packages and ETL workflows across multiple business platforms. Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Order Management, and Pricing teams to define and deliver solutions. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Hands-on Oracle CPQ experience or strong working knowledge of online configurators. Strong BML/BMQL and CPQ administration skills (commerce rules, models, data tables, logs, security). 5+ years of web development using
C/.NET, ASP.NET
MVC/Web API, and ASP.NET Core with modern .NET (6-8). Strong SQL Server expertise including T‑SQL scripting and performance tuning. Experience with SSIS development. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organization, and customer service skills. Self-driven, collaborative, and eager to learn new technologies. Preferred RPA development experience (UiPath preferred). Guided selling or advanced UI/UX customization experience in CPQ. Working knowledge of SharePoint.
