Build practical AI tools that make a real difference in manufacturing. A&B Foundry, Machining, and Fabrications is looking for a technically capable, curious, and resourceful individual to help us apply artificial intelligence and automation throughout our business. You will work directly with company leadership and employees in front office operations, accounting, engineering, quality, and production to identify opportunities, build solutions, and put them into everyday use. Projects may include AI agents, custom business applications, automated workflows, dashboards, and website improvements. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new technology, solving practical problems, and seeing the results of their work. You should bring hands-on development experience, sound judgment, and the initiative to take an idea from discussion through deployment and ongoing improvement. What You'll Do Work with employees to understand their daily responsibilities and identify repetitive tasks, delays, and opportunities for improvement. Build and deploy AI agents and automated workflows that help employees find information, prepare documents, track work, and complete routine tasks. Develop custom applications, dashboards, and internal tools tailored to our business. Connect applications and workflows to existing business systems through APIs, databases, and other integrations. Create, maintain, and improve company websites, forms, and customer-facing tools. Support accounting and front office improvements such as invoice preparation, payment follow-up tracking, document processing, and reporting. Help engineering and quality teams organize technical information, retrieve documents, track project requirements, and streamline reporting. Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend practical uses based on reliability, cost, and business value. Test solutions before release, troubleshoot problems, and maintain applications after deployment. Protect company and customer information through appropriate access controls and review steps. Train employees, write clear instructions, and measure improvements in time saved, accuracy, and ease of use. Keep leadership informed about priorities, progress, costs, and results. What We're Looking For Hands-on experience building applications, automations, websites, or integrations that other people use. Experience applying AI tools to workflows or building AI-powered applications and agents. Ability to write, understand, troubleshoot, and maintain code, including code developed with AI assistance. Working knowledge of a programming language such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, along with APIs and databases. Ability to translate a business need into a simple, reliable solution. Strong communication skills and comfort working with employees who have different levels of technical experience. Organization and follow-through to manage multiple projects. A strong desire to learn, experiment, and improve. A degree is not required. Demonstrated skills, completed projects, and the ability to deliver useful results are what matter. Experience That Would Be a Plus Business workflow automation or low-code development platforms. Accounting, ERP, CRM, or document management integrations. Manufacturing, engineering, or quality management environments. Website development, cloud deployment, and application maintenance. Training employees and supporting adoption of new tools.
