full-time Our manufacturing client is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to design, develop, and support software for advanced automation and packaging equipment. This role combines hands-on software development with collaboration across engineering teams and direct support of machine demonstrations, testing, and customer deployments. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine software requirements for new and existing features. Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software using C++ and object-oriented programming principles. Implement, debug, and validate software solutions for industrial automation systems. Support equipment demonstrations, qualification activities, and customer buyoffs both onsite and at international customer locations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge with engineering teams. Required Qualifications Strong experience with C++, Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD), and software development best practices. Experience with multithreaded programming, design patterns, and complex system development. Proficiency with STL; experience with COM/DCOM, BOOST, or similar template libraries is highly preferred. Strong troubleshooting, testing, and problem-solving skills. Results-oriented mindset with a passion for learning new technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python and/or Tcl/Tk. Exposure to industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or packaging equipment. Strong communication skills; German language proficiency is a plus. Willingness to travel internationally as needed to support customer installations and acceptance testing.
