An Application Analyst analyzes and provides technical support to maintain and improve computer software applications. Analyzes management, customer or user needs, designs applications, writes code, tests design, and documents programs. May assist with upgrades or direct the work of a team of software developers to maintain applications. May provide on-call technical support to application users.
The Application Integration Specialist manages desktop and web-based application software solutions typically purchased from third party vendors with a strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure. They will have a strong security focus for the integrations and automations they manage. Will need to have experience with Application Programming Interface (APIs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation and bots. They will work directly with all the RKL service lines to provide integration and automation application design, analysis, implementation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and support services as the primary technical point of contact internally. In addition will engaging vendor technical support, as needed. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate technical documentation and managing application integrations upgrade processes including testing, scheduling and implementation on a regular basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain secure application integrations that support our company's business operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify and resolve application security vulnerabilities Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in application development, security, AI, and bots Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our application integrations Manage processes to upgrade and maintain assigned systems. Work with vendors to resolve issues that cannot be readily addressed using in-house resources. Draft and submit technical specifications and diagrams that document existing systems or outlines the build of prospective systems. Research new applications and/or application features both independently and by management request. Formulate recommendations and implementation plans. Resolve end user issues as escalated by the Service Desk, including working with software vendors' technical support to resolve complex problems. Develop and maintain application documentation, including, but not limited to, Configuration Guides, Application Design Guides, and Knowledge Base articles; provide consultation to the training team on associated end-user documentation. Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field A minimum of 3 years of experience as an application integrator Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Previous experience in software evaluation, implementation, integration, testing and deployment Previous experience breaking down business processes into technology requirements
Preferred:
Experience with IT task and report automation using tools such as PowerShell scripts Experience supporting API development tools and products Proficiency in tools commonly used in AI and bot development. Experience with cloud (SaaS) services Ability to write SQL statements with some complexity

Salary Range:
