The Future Technology team is looking for engineers with a passion to improve our existing high performance computing platforms and drive new hardware and development environments. This position will require you to work closely with scientific computing partners within the Department of Energy and Department of Defense. You will also be expected to interface with internal stakeholders to explore high-impact opportunities to develop and deploy future computing environments. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science field; or Currently an Advanced Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company. Preferred Skills Strong capability and knowledge of computing hardware including CPU, GPU, networking, and storage infrastructure. Proficiency with software development principles and environments. Ability to interface with suppliers of scientific computing technologies. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines of science and engineering. Strong ability to distill and communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences in written, verbal, and multimedia formats. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
