Job Description

This global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Application Engineer with a strong background in automotive product design to support customers from evaluation through deployment of product solutions. You will work closely with customers, translating their product needs by reviewing specifications, preparing technical proposals and estimating material design feasibility. This role works closely with clients and internal teams to support product development and program launch. Lead technical engagements with customers during pre-sales demonstrations, trials, and deployment phases. Deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept tests. Gather and translate customer requirements into detailed technical specifications, use cases, and validation plans. Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation: application notes, configuration guides, installation manuals, and user guides. Collaborate with R D and product teams to tailor solutions for manufacturing customers and to address field issues. Drive root-cause analysis, CAPA, and engineering changes as needed. Provide on-site and remote technical support, customer training, and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption and usage. Create and execute test plans, validation protocols, and report results; support quality processes such as PFMEA and APQP where relevant. Assist the sales team with scoping projects, clarifying timelines, resources, and feasibility for customer opportunities. Maintain project tracking, issue logs, and status updates for internal and external stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of manufacturing experience as an Application Engineer, Product Design, or similar.. Excellent written and verbal communication, and a customer-focused mindset. Willingness to travel to customer sites and service centers as needed (typical range: up to 10 -20%).
