What you'll be doing Whether simulating the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car or the noise generated by a jet engine Simcenter STAR-CCM+ customers need on-demand super-computer resource. We are changing the way our customers run and interact with multi-physics high fidelity simulations and our Cloud Solutions Engineers play a meaningful role in this transformation. Your contribution swill impact the way designers and engineers develop products. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's or equivalent experience a plus) Around 5 years of professional experience as a software developer, including:Developing services and deploying infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Strong proficiency in Python, object‑oriented programming, software design principles, and design patternsHands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Good understanding of microservices and event‑driven architectures Solid experience with AWS services such as:
EC2, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EKS Experience with:
Serverless patterns and event‑driven designs (e.g., Step Functions, EventBridge)Operating production services with high availability and observability (metrics, logs, traces)Monitoring and alerting techniques for early problem detection and reportingCI/CD pipelines (GitLab experience is an advantage)Multi‑team, collaborative software development (source control, collaborative design and code reviews)Designing and implementing microservices delivering self‑contained business functionality within a SaaS product Mindset and practices:
You consider security and user data protection throughout the software development lifecycleYou have experience working with Agile methodologiesYou are curious, open to learning new technologies, and keen to develop new skills Nice to have / added advantages:
AWS Associate or Professional certificationExperience operating a 24x7, global, highly available, secure SaaS environmentExperience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform and managed Kubernetes (AKS/GKE)Background or interest in large‑scale numerical simulation / HPC workloadsExperience with job scheduling systems such as PBS, Slurm, LSF, or Grid EngineHands‑on experience with multi‑model NoSQL databases such as ArangoDB or equivalent technologies Why Siemens?
