We are excited to announce two opportunities within our Applications & Development organization. Both roles work at the intersection of Engineering, R&T, and Business Development to accelerate the adoption of AEC's advanced composite technologies in strategic market applications.
Open Roles:
Composites Application Specialist - Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) Composites Application Specialist - Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Each role focuses on a distinct market segment but shares a common mission: driving technology insertion, leading application development, and shaping AEC's future growth. Shared Responsibilities (focus varies by role)
  • Serve as the technical lead for composite technology insertion with customers.
  • Act as a primary technical interface to Business Development.
  • Contribute to customer‑funded and internal development programs at TRL 4-7.
  • Develop scopes of work, proposals, and production pricing guidance.
  • Provide technical leadership to project engineers.
  • Build customer relationships to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Strengthen AEC's brand via industry events and engagements.
  • Contribute to AEC's technical knowledge base.
  • Align customer voice and market trends with AEC strategy. Shared Qualifications / Characteristics
  • Engineering, Sales, or Marketing experience in composites or engineered products.
  • Experience in CMC, hypersonics, advanced electronics, or AAM-related materials.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business required.
  • Aerospace composites or textile manufacturing experience valued.
  • Experience in R&T environments and high-growth organizations.
  • Knowledge of aerospace development and certification pathways.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% and obtain a security clearance. Skills & Abilities

  • Office setting; some remote flexibility; travel required.
