Type:

full-time Company Description OrcaRouter is an intelligent AI routing layer that automatically selects the most suitable model for every prompt from a catalog of over 200 models. By optimizing model choice in real time, OrcaRouter significantly reduces inference costs-often by up to 80%-while maintaining high performance. The platform offers one unified API, making it easier for teams to integrate and manage multiple AI models without added complexity. With zero markup and no vendor lock-in, OrcaRouter gives developers and organizations flexibility, transparency, and control over their AI infrastructure. Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Developer Relations professional at OrcaRouter. In this role, the individual will help developers understand, adopt, and succeed with OrcaRouter's unified AI routing API through documentation, tutorials, sample code, and technical content. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with the developer community via forums, social channels, events, and webinars; gathering feedback on product features; and collaborating with engineering and product teams to improve the developer experience. The role also involves building reference implementations and demos, supporting key partners and customers during integration, and advocating for developers' needs inside the organization. Qualifications Strong technical communication abilities, including writing clear documentation, tutorials, and technical blog posts. Experience with APIs and developer tools, ideally in AI/ML, cloud platforms, or SaaS environments. Comfort with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and common developer workflows (version control, CI/CD). Background in developer advocacy, community building, or technical evangelism, with experience presenting to technical audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and marketing teams and translate technical concepts into accessible content. Strong problem-solving skills and a user-centric mindset, with the ability to collect and synthesize developer feedback. Experience working remotely and managing priorities independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in AI/ML or infrastructure tooling is a plus.
