Job Summary:
We are seeking a customer-focused Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our growing client base across North America. In this role, you will provide critical on-site and remote technical support for hardware and software solutions, conduct hands-on product testing, and partner with the sales team to deliver tailored solutions. This position requires frequent travel across the North American region to meet directly with clients and support on-site deployments. Key Responsibilities
  • On-Site & Remote Technical Support:
    Travel to customer sites across North America to deliver hands-on hardware and software support, rapid troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Product Testing & Field Validation:
    Perform rigorous on-site and laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to ensure high product stability and performance.
  • Technical Documentation & Client Insights:
    Draft technical documentation, site visit reports, and client requirement analyses with actionable recommendations.
  • Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture:
    Collaborate with regional sales teams on technical feasibility assessments, system design, and customized solution planning.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Lead regular technical exchanges, review meetings, and status updates to build strong, trusted partnerships with key North American accounts. Required Qualification
  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in server hardware validation, technical support, or FAE roles specializing in enterprise x86 traditional servers or High-Density GPU servers (NVIDIA/AMD platforms).
  • Technical Domain Expertise Knowledge of modern GPU server architectures (PCIe / SXM platforms, NVLink / NVSwitch topology, power & thermal management). Familiarity with server system management interfaces, including BMC, IPMI, Redfish, BIOS/UEFI, and platform firmware (CPLD/FPGA).
  • Software & Diagnostics Proficient in Linux system administration (Ubuntu/RHEL) and command-line diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience with NVIDIA diagnostic suites (DCGM, Partner Diag) log collection, and testing procedures.
  • Travel Expectation:
    Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally within North America (up to 30
  • 50% travel, including valid passport/visa requirements).
  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to both technical engineers and customers Preferred Qualification
  • Direct experience with large-scale AI data center deployments, liquid cooling systems, or rack-scale solutions.
  • Multilingual capabilities: Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is a strong plus to streamline communication with global R D and quality teams.
