$140,000•200,000 base + bonus + 401(k) match + comprehensive benefits Overview A leading global property & casualty insurance organization is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead•Full Stack Engineering to drive the development and delivery of modern, scalable insurance applications. This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and business impact, playing a key part in building next-generation digital products that support underwriting, claims, billing, and broader insurance operations. This individual will lead from the front-owning architecture, guiding engineering teams, and delivering high-quality, end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end development of full stack applications, from requirements and architecture through deployment and ongoing support Design and implement scalable, secure, and reusable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing to coding, design reviews, and complex problem solving Guide and mentor engineering teams, fostering best practices in software development, code quality, and performance Partner with product, business, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful technical solutions Drive delivery planning, including estimation, sprint execution, and release management Champion modern engineering practices including CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps methodologies Identify risks and proactively resolve technical and delivery challenges Apply domain knowledge to ensure solutions align with P&C insurance workflows and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 8-10+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full stack development expertise Proven experience leading delivery of complex, enterprise-scale applications Strong hands-on experience with modern tech stacks, including:
Back-end:
.NET, Node.js, or similar
Front-end:
React, Angular, or Vue Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP APIs and microservices architecture Relational and NoSQL databases Experience designing scalable application and integration architectures Strong understanding of Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and build high-performing teams Preferred Experience within P&C insurance, including policy, claims, billing, or underwriting systems Exposure to insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives Cloud or architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) If you are interested in learning more or would like to be considered, please reach out to the James Search Group team directly or apply via with your resume.
