This role will be responsible for database administration, system installations and upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and database architecture support. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with

ADABAS, IMS, CICS, IBM

z/OS, and DB2 , along with experience supporting critical legacy mainframe environments. This is a Systems Programming/DBA position and is not primarily a Mainframe Application Developer role. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, install, and upgrade mainframe database systems. Perform database and system performance tuning and optimization. Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database maintenance activities. Troubleshoot complex system and database issues in production environments. Support ADABAS, IMS, CICS, and DB2 environments. Perform system software installations and maintenance using SMP/E . Develop and maintain JCL and system utilities. Support security administration and access controls. Assist with database architecture, capacity planning, and system improvements. Work with development, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve technical issues. Provide technical leadership and guidance on mainframe systems and database operations. EntireX CA Spool BMC Tools for IMS and DB2 Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in Mainframe Systems Programming and/or Database Administration. Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or senior technical role . Strong hands-on experience with ADABAS, IMS, CICS, and z/OS environments. Experience with mainframe database administration, systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Strong understanding of JCL, SMP/E, mainframe security, and system utilities. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
