12+ months Work type: Hybrid Pay rate: $35/hr - $45/hr We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Mainframe Operator to manage and monitor IBM mainframe systems, ensure smooth production operations, and troubleshoot system issues. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM z/OS, system monitoring, batch processing, and automated maintenance procedures. Key Responsibilities Monitor mainframe system consoles and identify unusual conditions or alerts. Start, stop, and restart system tasks and major subsystems, including CICS, DB2, and IMS. Monitor production workloads and ensure scheduled jobs complete successfully. Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with system programmers and production control teams. Perform system startup, shutdown, and restart procedures as required. Support automated system monitoring and maintenance activities. Maintain system stability and follow operational procedures. Required Technical Skills IBM Mainframe, z/OS, p-Series and z-Series platforms. JCL, JES2, and Control-M. CICS, DB2, IMS, and related database technologies. System monitoring tools such as ITM, Tivoli, and NetView.

ACF2, SMP/E, REXX, CA SPOOL, BMC

tools, VTAM, TCP/IP, HMC, and related mainframe technologies. Linux/Unix and system troubleshooting. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe operations. At least 2 years of experience operating and administering IBM p-Series/z-Series platforms. At least 1 year of experience with automated system monitoring and maintenance procedures. Experience with ITM System Monitoring or similar tools. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or an equivalent qualification in mainframe operations. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills. "We are an equal opportunity employer.
