This role is suited to an engineering professional with experience in performance engineering, reliability engineering, asset management or industrial plant operations who enjoys using data and technical analysis to improve plant efficiency and availability. The Performance Engineer will work across performance monitoring, predictive analytics, condition monitoring and root cause analysis, helping identify opportunities to improve operational performance, reliability and lifecycle asset management.

The Performance Engineer Role:

Monitor and analyse plant performance, reliability, availability and operational risk using engineering data and performance metrics Support root cause investigations and develop recommendations to improve plant operations and maintenance strategies Develop and improve tools, dashboards and reporting methods to track asset health and performance Analyse power generation data using tools such as GADS, OSI-PI, EtaPRO, Power BI, Tableau or Python Support condition monitoring activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, heat rate, capacity factor and operational flexibility Coordinate technical activities with plant teams, engineering resources, vendors and other stakeholders Support project planning activities including technical requirements, schedules, budgets and risk management Perform performance assessments, audits and technical evaluations of plant activities

Performance Engineer Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited programme 3-7 years' experience in power generation, industrial facilities, engineering services, performance engineering, reliability engineering, maintenance engineering or asset management Experience with power plant operations, industrial equipment or energy systems Experience analysing plant performance data and identifying reliability or efficiency improvements Knowledge of performance analysis, root cause analysis and technical reporting Understanding of tools such as GADS, OSI-PI, EtaPRO or similar industrial data collection and analysis systems Experience with programming or analytical tools such as Python, Visual Basic, Power BI or similar is beneficial Strong communication skills with the ability to work with internal teams, contractors and technical stakeholders Apply now for more information on this Performance Engineer opportunity.
