Merrifield, VA - 4 days on-site/ 1 day remoteAnnual Salary Range:

US Citizenship, eligibility for a Public Trust clearance required Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced software engineering expertise, strong development skills, and the ability to mentor team members while contributing hands-on to complex technical initiatives. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. Develop high-quality, scalable solutions using C, C++, and/or C#. Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio for architecture, development, debugging, and deployment activities. Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define technical requirements and solutions. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices. Drive software quality through testing, debugging, performance tuning, and continuous improvement efforts. Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tools. Manage source code and development workflows utilizing GitHub and version control best practices. Integrate applications with enterprise systems and ensure adherence to software engineering standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related technical field from an accredited university. 7+ years of professional software development experience. Experience developing applications using C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem . Experience with C/C++ is preferred. Advanced proficiency in C, C++, and/or C#. Extensive experience with Microsoft Visual Studio. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes, including Jenkins. Experience with GitHub and modern software development workflows. Familiarity with enterprise environments and EBS platforms or similar systems. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices. Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor development teams. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience serving as a technical lead on software development projects. Agile/Scrum certification or extensive Agile experience. Expertise in software testing, automation, and debugging methodologies. Experience integrating applications with enterprise-level platforms and systems.
