We are seeking a Software Developer with strong Node.js and container experience to design, build, and modernize backend services. You will develop secure web APIs, integrate with Keycloak for identity and access management, work with XML-based data exchanges, and lead the migration of containerized workloads running on Podman to managed cloud services. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful web APIs using Node.js (Express, Fastify, or NestJS). Build, run, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Podman, including rootless containers, pods, and Containerfiles/Dockerfiles. Plan and execute migration of existing containerized workloads to cloud services such as AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, App Runner), Azure (AKS, Container Apps, App Service), or GCP (Cloud Run, GKE). Assess current container architectures and recommend the right cloud target (managed containers, Kubernetes, or serverless) based on cost, scalability, and operational needs. Integrate applications with Keycloak for authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML, including realm, client, and role configuration. Parse, transform, validate, and generate XML data using XSD, XPath, and XSLT; support integrations with legacy and SOAP-based systems. Secure APIs with JWT validation, role-based access control, rate limiting, and input validation. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for container image builds, scanning, and deployment. Write unit, integration, and API tests to ensure reliability and maintainability. Document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger and produce migration runbooks and architecture diagrams. Collaborate with DevOps, security, and platform teams on deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional software development experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript. Hands-on experience with Podman (or Docker with transferable skills), including image builds, networking, volumes, and pod management. Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful web APIs; familiarity with SOAP is a plus. Working knowledge of XML processing, including schemas (XSD), XPath, and transformations. Experience integrating applications with Keycloak or a similar identity provider (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC). Proven experience migrating containerized applications to at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of application security, secrets management, and environment configuration. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift. Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or Helm. Familiarity with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux). Experience with message queues or event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Azure Service Bus). Knowledge of observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, cloud native monitoring). Database experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or cloud managed databases. Scripting experience in PowerShell or Bash. Cloud certifications (AWS Developer/Solutions Architect, Azure Developer, or GCP equivalent).
