As a Design and Release Engineer, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving end-to-end software release execution for vehicle programs, ensuring successful integration, validation, and launch of Fennec TCU software across global platforms. This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversion This is a hybrid position in Dearborn, MI This position offers $58.85/hour, 10 days PTO, medical/retirement contributions (if desired) Top responsibilities: Own end-to-end software design and release for Fennec TCU software across global vehicle programs Manage software releases into WERS, IVS, and JFrog repositories, including program-specific releases Drive release management (milestones, deliverables, change control, issue/risk tracking) Lead supplier Built-to-Print (BTP) projects with clear timelines, deliverables, and acceptance criteria Author and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manage ED&T funding requirements Own GPDS deliverables including DVP&R, NID, configuration specs, and regulatory documentation Support vehicle builds with hands-on flashing, validation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Collaborate cross-functionally with program teams, integration, vehicle ops, and OTA teams Ensure successful vehicle launches and OTA campaign execution Create technical documentation and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Top qualifications: Bachelor's degree Strong experience with software release lifecycle in automotive or embedded systems Experience with WERS, IVS, and/or software release repositories (JFrog preferred) Agile experience with Jira and Confluence Strong project management and governance experience (milestones, timelines, deliverables) Experience with automotive quality tools (DVP&R, DFMEA) Strong technical documentation and presentation skills Ability to support vehicle-level testing, flashing, and diagnostics Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Hybrid schedule (4 days onsite) #INDOEM #LI-RH1
