We are looking for a Senior Software Developer. This position will be based in Wendell, NC (hybrid). In this role, you will help design, develop, and modernize scalable and secure software solutions that support enterprise and business‑critical platforms. You will contribute as a hands‑on developer while also serving as a technical mentor and collaborator across engineering teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on cloud‑native systems, application modernization, and AI‑enabled solutions in a collaborative and continuously evolving environment. You'll make a difference by: Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high‑performance enterprise software solutions Supporting application modernization initiatives, including migrating legacy systems to modern, cloud‑based architectures Building cloud‑native and web‑based applications using modern frameworks, APIs, and microservices Contributing hands‑on through coding, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipeline development Collaborating with cross‑functional partners and providing technical guidance to junior, offshore, and contract developers Applying and promoting software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle Integrating AI capabilities into existing tools and applications to improve efficiency, automation, and user experience You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 7+ years of experience with the following: Software development using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar Cloud platforms and architectures, must include Microsoft Azure & preferably AWS. Application modernization, legacy system migration, and API‑based integrations CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and code quality standards Full software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment Experience integrating AI or data‑driven capabilities into existing applications Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience serving as a senior individual contributor or technical lead without direct people management responsibilities Background in engineering‑driven or product‑focused software development environments Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures, microservices, containers, or platform modernization initiatives Experience collaborating with globally distributed or offshore development teams Experience in the energy or utility sector, with knowledge of KWh, SCADA, solar leasing, and energy management system Background in IoT systems and their integration within cloud environments Experience with AI-powered automation and predictive analytics for industrial applications. Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications. Familiarity with JIRA, GitHub, and other software development tools. 102,459 175,644 10%
