Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role will focus on identifying, investigating, and remediating security vulnerabilities within existing enterprise applications. This position requires an engineer who can quickly understand established applications, analyze dependencies, research Microsoft security guidance, and implement vulnerability fixes within .NET and SQL-based systems.
Responsibilities:
Remediate application security vulnerabilities across enterprise systems
Analyze existing .NET applications to determine vulnerability impact
Implement fixes using Microsoft best practices and security guidance
Investigate application dependencies and identify required remediation efforts
Work within existing codebases rather than developing new applications
Support production applications requiring timely security updates
Research Microsoft documentation and technical whitepapers to determine appropriate remediation strategies
Collaborate with development and support teams to deliver security fixes efficiently
Requirements:
6-7 years of software engineering experience
Strong SQL development and troubleshooting experience
Strong .NET development experience

Experience working on production support and application maintenance
Ability to understandplex application architectures quickly
Strong investigative and analytical troubleshooting skills
Desired skills:

Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding
Experience supporting enterprise applications withplex dependencies
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
