American Airlines is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join its technology team on a 12-month contract. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while working closely with business analysts, architects, and other development teams. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and modern front-end development using Angular or React. Experience working in an Agile environment and with cloud-based applications is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular or React.
Work with SQL databases and develop efficient queries and data integrations.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Follow Agile/Scrum development practices and participate in sprint planning and technical discussions.
Utilize Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices for application deployment.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Proficiency with Angular, React, or similar front-end frameworks.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud technologies is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
