The DevOps Engineer position involves both developing and maintaining automated systems that support the deployment, operation, and reliability of the companys software applications in cloud computing environments. Includes designing and developing infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring frameworks that support application delivery and system reliability. Develop automated processes that allow software applications to be built, tested, and deployed efficiently across cloud infrastructure platforms. Create scripts and automation workflows that integrate application code with cloud resources to ensure consistent and reliable deployment of software updates. Work with Docker, a containerization platform that packages applications and their dependencies into portable containers, and Kubernetes, an orchestration system used to automatically deploy, scale, and manage these containers across distributed computing environments. Design and manage cloud infrastructure environments using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Configure virtual networks, compute instances (virtual servers), storage systems, and identity and access management controls that allow applications to run securely and efficiently within the cloud. Implement and maintain CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) pipelines, which are automated systems that build, test, and deploy software code whenever updates are made. Tools used for this process include Jenkins, an automation server used for building and deploying applications, and GitHub Actions, an automation tool that executes workflows based on changes to software code repositories. Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, an infrastructure-as-code tool that allows cloud infrastructure such as servers, networks, and storage resources to be created and managed through automated configuration files rather than manual setup. Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance using AWS CloudWatch, a monitoring service that tracks system metrics and application performance, and Datadog, a monitoring and analytics platform used to detect performance issues and ensure system availability. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and systems management tools using Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS. Architect and manage cloud environments across AWS and GCP, including virtual networks, compute resources, storage, and identity and access management. Monitor and maintain infrastructure health with AWSCloudWatch and Datadog to ensure high availability and performance. Manage Jenkins pipelines for general CI/CD while implementing GitHub Actions specifically to automate Terraform workflows, enhancing infrastructure deployment speed and consistency. Masters degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering (any); Computer Applications is required.
