Job Summary DAC Robotics is seeking a controls engineer to join our team in Leander, TX. This role is responsible for electrical design, programming, and commissioning of custom automation systems. We offer an exciting hands-on work environment with a large potential for lateral and vertical movement within the company. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is comfortable managing responsibilities across multiple projects. This role requires the ability to take ownership of projects and move work forward with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Design and implement electrical and control systems for industrial automation equipment Develop and debug automation software including PLC, robot, HMI, machine vision, and motion control. Develop control architectures and programming strategies that support reliable and maintainable automation systems. Work with the mechanical team to provide input on how to solve complex challenges throughout the development of a system. Support existing customer equipment and automation systems Travel approximately 10-15% (additional travel opportunities available) Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Experience with industrial control systems, including power distribution, motor controls, sensors, and PLC hardware Experience with programming and debugging PLCs or industrial robotics Strong hands-on ability to build, test, and troubleshoot automation systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or CODESYS platforms Experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, etc.) Familiarity with UL 508A, NEC, or industrial electrical standards Programming experience (Python or similar)
