Rachel Leornas, Marketing Manager Responsibilities This is a Sales & Marketing technical function reporting to the Product Marketing Manager where the individual will provide support to customers during the quote process and throughout the life cycle of the product once the quote becomes an order and is then shipped to the customer and installed in the field. This individual will walk customers through what our products can and cannot do for them during the quoting process by using communication skills such as being a good listener, asking pertinent questions, and problem-solving. Because this role will operate at the intersection of the customer, engineering, customer service, and manufacturing departments, they must demonstrate knowledge of the products and manufacturing processes in addition to strong communication abilities.
Key skills are:
Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate project management abilities where being detail oriented is needed. Experience in customer-facing role would be advantageous. Pre-sale support Assist customers with solution definition, system performance calculations, and feature benefit identification for specific quote opportunities using company software tools and support documents. Assist Customer Service Representatives with technical application questions Tier II technical application direct support for customers with questions not covered in company's support documents. This support will be by email and by phone and occasionally in person. Thorough documentation of discussions with customers will be needed for quote history reporting. Assist customers remotely with installing and operating the selection software. Occasional overnight travel to help train customers / representatives with training is possible. Also, involvement in yearly sales meeting will require travel once a year. Assist with large volume pricing for new opportunities and thoroughly documenting the opportunity in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for the purpose of forecast reporting. 6. Evaluate product modification custom quote requests for feasibility and price impact. Work with Customer, Product Marketing Manager, Engineering, and Operations to verify we can meet customer specifications, obtain a cost estimate, provide a pricing quotation, and coordinate customer approval. Also, if the quote becomes an order, this individual will lead the execution of the Custom order between sales, engineering, and manufacturing through the Custom Order workflow process. Post-sale support 7. Occasional overnight travel to provide onsite problem resolution as a team member is required. Trip report completion will also be required when completing field support. Assist Customer Service Representatives with post-sales installation questions. Tier II technical installation support for customers with questions not covered in company's support documents. This support will be by email and by phone and occasionally in person. Thorough documentation of discussions with customers will be needed for job history reporting. Assisting with alarm logging to give our Design Engineering group details needed to troubleshoot problems with controls. Retrofit support including customized instructions and part quotations. Coordinate with other departments to resolve customer questions as needed. Product Management Support 1. Assist Product Management with development of Design Requirements documentation for new projects. As assigned, develop and maintain technical documentation related to Catalogs, Installation & Operation Manuals, and Selection Software. 2. Contribute to Revit models, CAD drawings, smart drawings, 3D graphics, and other product development initiatives. 3. Assist maintaining company website including the Replacement Parts Tool, as directed. 4. Assist Product Management with development of Design Requirements documentation. 5. Assist with administration of the company website and CRM tool, Salesforce. Qualifications Four-year Engineering degree Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to travel overnight, estimate <= 10-15% Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience in Microsoft Access and VBA a plus. Licensed and insured driver Preferred 1-2 years of Technical or Customer Service support a plus Technical writing experience a plus CAD experience, SolidWorks experience a plus.
