Design, build, and maintain backend microservices, including new services architected and developed from scratch. Collaborate with other developers, QA, and management to review, verify, and test code prior to release. Plan and execute database migrations and schema changes, updating related application code as required. Follow established best practices for source code repository management, unit testing, and the application release cycle. Communicate directly with clients to address issues, respond to queries, and provide status updates. Track and manage assigned work using the team's project management tooling. Technical RequirementsRequired Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience programming in Go (Golang), with applications running on Linux servers. Proven experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and Docker. Proficient with GitHub for version control and team collaboration. Expert-level database skills, with hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL. Experience with database migrations, schema changes, and related code modifications. Experience with gRPC and Protobuf for inter-service communication. Experience with Redis for caching. Experience with event-driven / message-driven architectures (e.g., NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar pub-sub systems). Nice to Have Experience with JIRA or other task/project management tools. Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines. Experience deploying via Helm charts on GKE / Google Cloud. Exposure to distributed tracing and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana). Exposure to integrating LLM/AI APIs or third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI) into backend systems. Qualifications & CompetenciesEducation Bachelor's degree required. Experience Minimum 5 years of overall professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Golang and backend systems. Soft Skills / Competencies Ability to multitask effectively across competing priorities and deadlines. Positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward colleagues and clients. Strong command of written and spoken US English (reading, writing, and speaking). Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities; able to work independently with minimal supervision. Eager to collaborate with clients and developers to enhance overall client satisfaction.
Pay:
$72,485.92 - $120,000.00 per year
