Sr. Software Development Engineer, Publisher Decision Engine

DescriptionLead the technical vision for Amazon Ads Publisher Technology as we build next-generation ad monetization systems across Alexa, Prime Video, Twitch, Freevee, and FireTV. As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Publisher Decision Engine (PDE) Ad Flow team, you'll drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact solutions that generate billions in revenue for Amazon's premier content platforms. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of supply-side advertising technology at Amazon scale. You'll tackle some of the most challenging problems in ad tech—real-time optimization, distributed systems at massive scale, and intelligent decisioning—while building a team and culture from the ground up. Key job responsibilities What you'll do:

• Own architecture and technical strategy for systems processing billions of ad requests daily
• Lead cross-team initiatives building scalable solutions for inventory monetization and yield optimization
• Drive technical excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers and help them grow their technical skills and careers
• Partner with product, science, and business teams to translate complex requirements into elegant solutions

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPreferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
