OVERVIEW
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical programs. This role will focus on building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support modern software delivery and AI/ML-enabled capabilities. The ideal candidate has experience with AWS cloud environments, infrastructure as code, containerized applications, and automated CI/CD pipelines in secure government environments. This role will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and security teams to deliver reliable platforms that support advanced analytics and AI/ML workloads.
GENERAL DUTIES
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, integration, and deployment of applications. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform. Deploy and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure supporting DoD mission systems. Implement and manage containerized environments using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with software development teams to optimize build, deployment, and release processes. Support the deployment and operationalization of AI/ML models and data pipelines in cloud environments. Implement automation to improve system reliability, security, and scalability. Ensure compliance with DoD security and accreditation standards (e.g., RMF, STIGs, security controls). Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure and applications. Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tooling, and architecture.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar) Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools Experience supporting AI/ML workloads, pipelines, or infrastructure Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) Experience working in secure or government environments
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs Familiarity with ML Ops practices Experience with Kubernetes orchestration Experience with AWS GovCloud Knowledge of security frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53) AWS or DevOps certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
