Role Purpose As a .Net Application Developer, you will design, code, implement, support and maintain Blacksburg's Information Technology applications, both as an individual performer and as a member of a project team. Support the daily operations of the business. Provide analysis, design and coding support for business enhancements to the system. Maintain adherence to Corning's Information Systems standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Lead small to medium size projects. Maintain existing client server and web based applications. Recommend and develop information system projects that improve manufacturing efficiencies and product quality. Assume leadership for own portion of large projects Use standard methodologies to carry out projects and tasks Develop application interfaces that are tailored to the user needs and are integrated with new and existing systems. Develop accurate, efficient, and user-friendly computer programs Provide problem solving assistance in one or more applications or technical areas Apply knowledge and judgment to problem situations Provide services which adhere to standards and established procedures Monitor service levels and actively look for ways to improve service efficiency and effectiveness Test, debug, and document programs to ensure desired customer requirements are met. Interact with users in defining and analyzing problems Experiences/Education - Required 4 Year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering Applicable work experience including internships will be taken into consideration Application platform experience (such as VB.NET or
