Job Requirements Herndon, VA Top Secret/SCI CI Polygraph Career Level not specified $180,000 - $230,000 Job Description Overview Byte Systems, a subsidiary of VTG, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum Team primarily focusing on building and maintaining systems running in a containerized environment. This position is 100% on-site. What will you do? Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of 3-5 engineers developing an application that runs in a containerized environment, ideally Kubernetes/OpenShift based.
- 2+ years of experience with software architecture/design
- 2+ years of experience with Java
- 2+ years of experience with Python
- 2+ years of experience with SQL
- 2+ years of experience with Shell Script
- 4+ years of experience with Unix/Linux Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience with JavaScript
- Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
- Familiarity with NiFi
- Experience with cross-domain systems Do you have what it takes?
- A Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
