CDS is seeking a dedicated Java Developer with ETL experience handling multiple data formats to support our Government Client in developing and maintaining high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Java development, a background in working with relational databases, hands-on experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and the ability to work with data in various formats such as CSV, JSON, and XML. The developer will leverage Java, ETL tools, and Elasticsearch along with technologies like Maven and Git to build and maintain scalable, reliable applications that meet the Government's data processing and search needs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather system and data processing requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications with integrated ETL workflows.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from various formats (CSV, JSON, XML).
• Work with data in different formats (CSV, JSON, XML) and ensure seamless integration into applications.
• Perform code reviews and troubleshoot issues in existing applications.
• Participate in daily standups and contribute to team collaboration.
• Work with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.

) for data modeling and optimization.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Java enterprise development (Maven, unit testing, continuous integration).
• Strong understanding of relational databases (RDBMS), transactions, and JDBC.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Experience working with data in multiple formats (CSV, JSON, XML).
• SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Experience with Java application development best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Elasticsearch, including search query optimization and data indexing.
• Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins or Ansible.
• Knowledge of RedHat Linux Servers.
• Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
• Understanding of performance tuning in Java applications (e.

g., Java GC).
