Summary The Application Analyst III will be responsible for assigned applications and also provide backup support for the application portfolio managed by the IT Services Applications Team. The Analyst will work and lead as a key member of the support team to build, maintain, test and train as needed to assure successful implementation and ongoing support. The Analyst will be the key subject matter expert and act as the liaison between stake holders and the support team for assigned applications. The Analyst is the primary contact between the supported customer and IT, and will manage the relationship, escalations, communication and regular updates. The Analyst is responsible for vendor relationships, support tasks and escalations. The Analyst sets an example as a leader and mentor of other Analysts and IT peers. The Analyst will work with minimal supervision on assigned projects and tasks as well as backup Supervisor as required.

  • Applications Supervisor Essential Functions Leads in system design process, define system setup requirements, and document system setup.
Leads system upgrades as needed to ensure assigned applications are upgraded successfully. Utilize project management tools to document issues and status of assigned tasks. Manages small to mid-size projects with little direction and monitors/balances schedules to ensure overall project deadlines are met. Gathers specific and broad information to fully understand issues, both to solve the problem at hand, and to address the "big picture". Has expert technical knowledge of own area of responsibility and knowledge of interactions between systems components. Uses analytical skills for complex analysis and problem resolution, developing project plans, standards and policies. Consults with clients and end users to evaluate requirements, designs strategies, and prepares action plans to address issues. Actively supports organizational change, translates it into work plans, and reinforces standards within the work group. Advocates for IT priorities and promotes collaboration using teamwork approach within and across work groups including building strong external networks. Pro-actively provides specific and relevant feedback and accepts feedback in a positive and constructive manner. Seeks and interprets client feedback, links this to short/long-term needs while referring only the most complex issues to management. Effectively handles challenges/resistance; consistently demonstrates ability to adjust smoothly to demands, shifting priorities and crises. Sets and achieves aggressive goals, makes challenging commitments and consistently follows through on them. Prepares/delivers written communications and presentations professionally. Coordinates and leads work group meetings as needed. Assists Manager with assigning tasks to the Analyst 1 & 2 members as necessary. Consistently communicates appropriate information across organizational boundaries to facilitate information sharing and resolve issues. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree or 3 years work experience in Healthcare IT. Have 6 plus years' experience as an application support, application analyst or healthcare related field. Experience implementing or upgrading applications with 100+ users and/or multiple locations. Ability to attend classes/seminars and complete certification(s) as assigned; may require travel up to 2 weeks at a time. Available to work on-call rotational schedule for after-hours support including ability to come on-site as required.
